.JΛY (dotjay, “we”) respects the privacy of everyone who visits our official website (the “Site”). This policy explains what information we handle and how.
The Site has no checkout, payment or account features, and we do not ask you to enter personal details such as your name or address here.
Purchases, payment, delivery and our contact form are handled through our BASE shop. For how information is handled there, please see our BASE shop privacy policy.
To understand how the Site is used and to improve it, we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to send the following information to Google. It does not send information that directly identifies you, such as your name or email address.

Purpose: to understand how the Site is used and to improve its content and usability
Advertising: we do not use Google Analytics advertising features such as Google signals or ad personalisation.
We use Google Analytics data to understand and improve website usage, not to identify individual visitors. This information is managed by Google and may be processed and stored on servers outside Japan, including in the United States. If you visit from the European Union (EU), the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, we show a banner asking whether we may use Google Analytics. Google Analytics is not loaded and no analytics cookies are stored unless you choose “Accept”. If you choose “Reject”, no analytics data is collected.
For visits from other regions, Google Analytics is active. If you do not want to be measured, choose “Reject” under “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of each page. If you reject or withdraw consent, measurement stops and the Site’s Google Analytics cookies are deleted. Your choice is stored in your browser (localStorage) and is not sent to our servers. You may need to choose again if you clear your browser data or use another device or browser.
To decide whether to show the banner, we use the country determined from your IP address by our hosting provider, Netlify. If the country cannot be determined, we use your device’s time zone setting, and if that is also unavailable, we show the banner. This result is used only for this purpose and kept temporarily in your browser until you close it. We do not separately store IP addresses or country information for cookie consent purposes. Netlify may process and retain this information to operate and secure its hosting services.
You can also stop Google Analytics in either of the following ways. This does not affect your use of the Site or purchases on our BASE shop.
The Site links to other websites such as our BASE shop and Instagram. Information on those sites is handled under their own privacy policies.
